Utah Mobile Emissions is the first mobile emission testing service in Utah, offering clients the convenience of having their emissions tested wherever they are.
While in college, founder Daniel Diehl needed an emissions test for his vehicle. Despite searching various locations, he couldn’t find one with a short wait time and ended up wasting two hours of his Saturday. This experience led him to look for mobile emission services.
“I couldn’t find anyone offering this type of service,” Diehl said. “So, I decided to start one.”
Utah Mobile Emissions makes getting emissions tests done quick, easy, and convenient. The company performs the required tests at the client’s home, workplace, or other locations of their choice.
“I experienced firsthand the struggles that often come with getting your emissions done,” Diehl explained. “It’s a state requirement with a deadline, and no matter how carefully you plan, there never seems to be a convenient time to do it.”
“You no longer have to spend time waiting in line at a shop. We come at your convenience,” he added. “We’ve been able to help those unable to leave their house, such as in cases of surgery, sickness, or other ailments.”
To better understand how to effectively run his business, Diehl enrolled in the University of Utah’s Master of Business Creation (MBC) program. Through the program, he has gained a deeper understanding of business principles and leadership strategies.
“The MBC program is a unique combination of a traditional business degree and a business accelerator,” he said. “Everyone in the program is a founder of their own company, and each brings a unique perspective to our classes.”
Utah Mobile Emissions has been providing testing services in Cache County for the past year and is now expanding to Davis County. The company hopes to expand to more counties in Utah and eventually to other states.
